Bait us Salam mosque D.H.A Phase 4, attracts a massive crowd for daily and weekly prayers and is frequented by top Islamic scholars. In order to better accommodate the growing attendants, the mosque has been reconstructed to facilitate more than five times the number of people. The project requirement was to build a well planned and aesthetic mosque for the residential area of D.H.A Phase 4. The team from Total Construction martyred the old mosque and reconstructed a new structure. The new design consists of the reconstruction of the mosque, place for ablution and interior / exterior installation. 20,000 sq.ft area has been used as a cover building for prayers while around 12,000 sq.ft is kept as open space, with ablution area and other amenities along with a 60 feet minaret. Post-tensioning of the slabs was done by the third party for the mosque’s roof slab in order to provide maximum prayer area with a minimum number of vertical members.
The mosque defines a beautiful collaboration of architectural design and engineering expertise. Affiliated raw materials have been used sufficiently especially the use of ziyarat white and Indian marble for the flooring. The placement of the marble was an extensive process where each piece was scrutinized to be placed in such a way that it enhances the overall aesthetic appeal of the interior. The new structure also houses a Medressa which serves as a center for religious education during the day time. This project is a testament to the quality & standards of Total Construction.
